Deer Hunter 2016 APK

Posted: 25 Sep 2015 03:13 PM PDT

From the same Glu folks who created one of our favorite games called Deer Hunter 2015, a new game with the title Deer Hunter 2016 is available on Google Play Store.

Deer Hunter 2016 is what you expect when playing a hunting game with mobile features added. The visual is quite impressive, and sounds are nice, too. There are weapon upgrades and few choices of weapons. It simply wanted to shoot a few deer, laugh, and relax with your family. There are a few challenges, but overall, the game is pretty easy and straight forward. If you are looking for something to waste some time, this game can do.

Adidas Snapshot App Can Tell How Hard And Fast You Kick A Soccer Ball Using Your Android Camera

Posted: 25 Sep 2015 01:29 PM PDT

How hard am I kicking a soccer ball? Not hard at all. I don't play soccer, or football as you folks living in most other countries call it. But if I did kick soccer balls—and by kick, I mean apply enough force to quickly send them in a straight direction, rather than nudge them awkwardly and accidentally off to the side—the Adidas Snapshot app might just pique my interest.

Snapshot takes footage of you kicking a soccer ball and determines from those frames just how fast you sent the thing flying.

Rumour: We Could See The Galaxy S7 As Early As February!

Posted: 25 Sep 2015 12:44 PM PDT

Samsung Next

The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge were just released this past April but we've already had a lot of rumours surface regarding the S7.  Current rumours claim that the S7 will come in two sizes, a 5.2″ and 5.8″, and two different processors, the Snapdragon 820 and Exynos 8890, depending on region.  Rumours also claim that the device will sport a 20MP shooter while other rumours suggest Samsung may opt for a dual-camera set up.  Well here's another little tidbit to throw into the rumour mill.

According to a new report coming of the Korean media, Samsung may push forward the launch of the S7.  Much like the accelerated Note 5 launch, Samsung is looking to beat the competition to the punch with an earlier launch.  Rumour is that Samsung will announce the device sometime in January and will launch it shortly after in February.  Quick turnaround from announcement to launch is important in maintaining the consumers attention and Samsung did a pretty good job with Note 5 so hopefully that carriers over to the S7.

Again, this is just a rumour for now so take it with a grain or two of salt.  There has been word that Samsung is accelerating their product development though so I wouldn't be surprised if this turned out to be true.

Classic Horror Adventure Game 'Sanitarium' Is Getting An Android Port By DotEmu, Set For October 29th

Posted: 25 Sep 2015 10:05 AM PDT

The point-and-click adventure game genre is one of the most immersive around. It typically doesn't seek to draw you in with over-the-top action sequences. Instead, you're drawn in by the sheer amount of attention and focus you must give to each detail as you click on every corner of the screen. When something freaks you out, part of the fear comes from just how hard you've been staring.

Sanitarium is one such game from nearly two decades ago.

Deal: Grab A 64GB Nexus 6 For Under $500

Posted: 25 Sep 2015 09:01 AM PDT

The new Nexus' are nearly here which means that retailers are beginning to clear out of old Nexus stock.  What does that mean?  Well it means you can get a pretty good deal on a Nexus 6 right now!

Expansys is currently offering the 64GB Nexus 6 for just $489.99 CAD!  For comparison, that model still goes for a whopping $650 on the Google Store so it's quite a significant savings.  No word on how long this deal will last or how many units they have left but when I first stumbled across this, they had both the black and white in stock.  Only the white is in stock now so they're clearly moving out pretty quickly

Great deal on a great phone!

Facebook Re-Brands Internet.org As 'Free Basics By Facebook'

Posted: 25 Sep 2015 08:42 AM PDT

Facebook launched Internet.org as a way to get important services and information to people in developing countries even if they lack a data plan on their mobile device. And if they should decide to check Facebook using this free access, all the better. Now, the Internet.org service is being re-branded as Free Basics by Facebook.

The change in name is being made to differentiate the service Facebook is offering from the larger Internet.org platform and initiative.

BlackBerry Priv official, Android slider will launch late 2015

Posted: 25 Sep 2015 05:26 AM PDT

If you've been longing for a new Android phone with a physical keyboard, BlackBerry's got what you need.

BlackBerry has announced that it's working on an Android phone called the "BlackBerry Priv." The Priv will be BlackBerry's first Android phone, with a launch expected to take place in late 2015. BlackBerry hasn't spilled any of the Priv's spec details, but the company describes it as a "flagship slider device."

So why go Android? BlackBerry CEO John Chen explains:

"At the same time, we are focused on making faster progress to achieve profitability in our handset business. Today, I am confirming our plans to launch Priv, an Android device named after BlackBerry's heritage and core mission of protecting our customers' privacy. Priv combines the best of BlackBerry security and productivity with the expansive mobile application ecosystem available on the Android platform."

It sounds like BlackBerry isn't happy with how its own BlackBerry 10 devices are improving its bottom line, so it decided to turn to Android to give its profitability a boost. Whether or not the Priv will do that remains to be seen, but Android is the biggest mobile OS in the world and Android phones that have a physical keyboard are basically non-existent, so there's a chance that the Priv could do well for BlackBerry.

Will you buy a BlackBerry Priv?

Samsung Announces The New Gear VR For $99 USD

Posted: 24 Sep 2015 09:19 PM PDT

During Facebook's Oculus Connect 2 event, Samsung officially announced a new version of the smartphone-operated VR headset and it will only cost $99 USD.

While it's still called the Gear VR, it now sports a new D-Pad on the right side of the device in order to make it more user friendly. It's quite unfortunate Samsung still has not lifted the phone requirements to use the device as the new one only works with the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge Plus and the Note 5.

Samsung has yet to release any info on whether not this will be available in Canada but even with the current exchange rate, it's still quite a deal if you're picking it up from the US.

Unlocking your Moto X Pure Edition’s bootloader will void your warranty

Posted: 24 Sep 2015 03:51 PM PDT

The Moto X Pure Edition is no developer device, and Motorola wants us to know it. A Motorola rep on the company's forums has commented with clarification on the warranty and bootloader unlocking policy. And just like with most devices, unlocking the bootloader will result in a voided warranty.

It's not all bad. The rep says that obviously defective hardware like broken buttons and speakers, when not caused by physical abuse, will still be covered if your device has an unlocked bootloader. This will be under Motorola's discretion, but it is a glimmer of hope for those who want to tinker with their device.

The same will apply to the extended Moto Care warranty, so paying extra won't allow you to tinker freely. But this is everything we've come to expect from a device with an unlockable bootloader, so people shouldn't be upset with Motorola.

Google Play services updated to 8.1 to prepare for Marshmallow

Posted: 24 Sep 2015 03:18 PM PDT

The launch of Android 6.0 Marshmallow is nearing (allegedly it'll launch October 5), and Google is preparing for it early. Google Play services has been updated to 8.1 in preparation for the new version of Android, but it includes improvements that are available to everyone.

The biggest change is support for the new Marshmallow permission system, which allows you to revoke permissions for apps. Developers will need to upgrade their apps to support this using the new SDK. Also included are app invites, which can allow users of your app invite others to check our the app via email or SMS.

For Android Wear users, Ambient Mode Maps is now possible. Your map will show up and move in Ambient Mode to save some battery by keeping things dark and simple. Google Nearby is also included, so apps will be able to take advantage of those around you in a new social way.

For more information (especially if you're a developer), hit the source link and read up on the update. For everyone else, just wait for it to come to you!
