Fox Digital Entertainment And Wooga Have Partnered Up For Game Of Drones, A Mobile Game Based On Futurama

Futurama: Game of Drones is an upcoming mobile game in which the Starks of Winterfell invade from the north atop hovering metal horses while slinging laser-tipped arrows.

Wait, sorry, I'm being told that this subtitle is something called a pun. The game is actually based on Futurama, and it's coming to us though a partnership between Berlin-based developer Wooga and Fox Digital Entertainment.

Instead of slaying Lannisters, you'll be competing against MomCo in a similarly fierce but significantly less bloody trade war.

T-Mobile giving Simple Choice customers unlimited LTE data for 3 months

Posted: 23 Nov 2015 02:50 PM PST

The holidays are nearly here, and T-Mobile has announced quite a few different offers to celebrate.

First up is Un-carrier Unwrapped, which will give unlimited LTE smartphone data to existing postpaid Simple Choice customers. The offer is good for all subscribers on a postpaid Simple Choice plan — including folks on business and grandfathered plans — at the end of the day on November 23. If you qualify, the unlimited LTE smartphone data will be automatically applied to your account on December 1 and will stay there until March 1.

And now for the fine print. If you qualify this unlimited LTE smartphone data, you'll start to use it once you use up your regular monthly data allotment and your Data Stash. You'll have to say on the same T-Mobile plan and keep Binge On active in order to keep the unlimited LTE data gift. Finally, folks that get this gift won't receive the perks of T-Mobile's regular unlimited LTE plan, like tethering and free Vudu movie rentals.

T-Mobile says that it's got three more holiday gifts planned, with one aimed at each of the other 3 major US carriers: Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint. The next gift will be revealed on November 30, with the others coming one per week in the following weeks.

T-Mobile is also planning to roll out some more traditional Black Friday offers. Starting November 25, T-Mo will give out the Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 7 tablet for $0 down and $0 payments with qualifying data plan. If you'd prefer a new smartphone, T-Mobile will also be handing out 32GB Galaxy S6 units for $0 down and $0 payments with 18-month leases. Another offer will give you a $100 T-Mobile prepaid MasterCard with the purchase of any Samsung tablet. And rounding out the Black Friday deals will be a UE Boom Bluetooth speaker for $99, which is $100 off its regular price.

Twitch v4.5.1 Adds Support For Android TV [APK Download]

Posted: 23 Nov 2015 08:42 AM PST

Twitch_20151123_095802

This whole time, game streaming service Twitch hasn't supported Android TV. That strikes me as pretty weird, but everything is cool now that v4.5.1 is rolling out (the standard app is up to v4.6.x). This version adds Android TV support, and we've got the APK below in case you don't see it in the Play Store yet.

I will admit to not really "getting" the appeal of Twitch, but I know it's a hugely popular service.

Samsung Pay now supports Chase Bank, offering $100 promo for new activations

Posted: 23 Nov 2015 08:30 AM PST

Near the end of September of this year, Samsung Pay officially launched in the United States. It did so with a free accessory offer, too, and now Samsung is back with another promotional offer alongside yet another big announcement.

Samsung has confirmed that its mobile payment option will work with Chase Bank Visa debit and credit cards, as well as Liquid cards for good measure. On top of that, Samsung Pay is now also supported by a flurry of new MasterCard debit and credit card issuers, including: Citizens Equity First Credit Union, Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union, Security Service Federal Credit Union, State Employees' Credit Union, SunTrust Bank, and Virginia Credit Union.

Last, but not least, Samsung Pay now also supports the Navy Federal Credit Union by way of their Visa-branded debit and credit cards.

That aforementioned promotional deal comes in the form of $100 a new Samsung Pay user can take advantage of on Samsung.com. You'll need to register a card via the mobile payment option sometime between November 23 and November 30 to get the $100, though. You can find more details on the promotion through the Samsung Promotion website.

If you have a Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, or Galaxy Note 5 you can use Samsung Pay. Have you tried it yet?

Awaken the Force within your Google apps with new Star Wars customizations

Posted: 23 Nov 2015 06:11 AM PST

If you thought there wasn't enough hype leading up the opening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, think again. Google has just unveiled a new feature that will customize your Google apps and services to your liking. All you need to do is choose between the light side of the dark side. Google's Star Wars customization are quite extensive, bringing unique designs to Android Wear, Chrome, Chromecast, Gmail, Inbox, Google Calendar, Google Maps, Google Now, Google Search, Google Translate, Waze, and YouTube on Android, iOS, Chromecast and desktop browsers.

To get started, just head over to google.com/starwars and choose which side of the Force you want to join. While each side has its merits, don't spend too much time thinking it through. If you choose a side and later change your mind, just head back to the page and switch sides. Google has even implemented a tracking system, showing which side of the Force is more powerful at any given time. The dark side currently has the lead, but the scales could shift back and forth over the next few weeks. Since Google makes most of its money through advertisements, it's no surprise that the company sold out to Disney to offer this unique experience to its users. While many will be debating which side of the Force they will choose, we're more curious to find out how much money Google is making with this little stunt.

It's obvious that Google's chosen the dark side already, but we're hoping you'll leave us a comment to let us know which side if the Force you will choose.

Huawei Nexus 6P now available across Europe

Posted: 23 Nov 2015 05:11 AM PST

After month of waiting, the Nexus 6P is now available in Europe. The Huawei-made Nexus 6P launched a few months back, but Huawei had some issues producing enough of the phones to satisfy demand in the US before opening up sales of the device to a handful of countries in Europe. With US availability stabilized, Google and Huawei are now making the phone available to those who live on the other side of the Atlantic. We've been able to confirm that the Nexus 6P is listed for sale on Google's online store in Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Great Britain, the Netherlands, and Portugal with prices ranging from $499 for the 32GB model to $649 if you you need 128GB of storage.

There's no guarantee that Google has enough of the phones for everyone, so we recommend picking one up before inventory runs low again. If the Nexus 6P big to too expensive for your taste, you can always opt for the smaller and cheaper Nexus 5X. We're sure you'd miss the faster processor and stereo speakers of the Nexus 6P, but there's a lot you could do with the extra $120 you'd save.
