Hecorat, the developer behind some cool apps we love like AZ Screen Recorder and EZ Package Disabler, has released a new app on the Play Store and this one solves an existential problem for all virtual reality fans who own Samsung's Gear VR but also want to try Cardboard apps and games: it lets them do exactly that which Samsung had tried its darndest to forbid.

The problem with Gear VR is that the moment you plug your Galaxy phone into the headset, the Oculus app launches and you can't use any other app until you unplug.

If you've been using Google Maps in the past couple of days, there are two changes that you may have noticed, or not depending on how lucky you are with server-side switches. The first one is purely cosmetic and the second is something Local Guides and sticklers for accuracy will enjoy.

The location indicator in Google Maps is seeing a small aesthetic change. Instead of the arrow pointer, some users are getting a widening gradient spray.

Stylish and affordable; first images leak of the HTC Desire 10 Pro

Posted: 13 Aug 2016 10:15 AM PDT

It was just yesterday that VentureBeat released leaked details of HTC's upcoming Desire 10 Lifestyle smartphone. It was also reported that a better-specced sibling was on the way, dubbed the HTC Desire 10. Today we're getting a bit more info and revision to the name courtesy of famed leaker, @evleaks. This leak reveals the device as the Desire 10 Pro, and shows off its black and white color options in two new photos.

The back of the device is a solid, matte color, but as yesterday's leak predicted, there are gold metal accents. These accents ring the camera, draw lines across the back and extend to the sides of the device where they join the gold power button and volume rocker. There looks to be a slight camera hump and surprisingly, there's also a fingerprint scanner, which is a bit unexpected for what is likely a mid-range device.

The front of the device is fairly standard, with a front-facing camera at the top and capacitive buttons beneath the display. The images also confirm that the device's software will be skinned with HTC Sense.

The devices are expected to launch in September, but we'll keep you up to date on any other leaks before the official reveal. In the meantime, you can follow the second source link to check out the white model of the HTC Desire 10 Pro.

ASUS originally sent these pictures to the Chinese equivalent of the FCC and somehow the pictures were briefly left public, which was enough time for a Chinese news site to leak them online; confirming the rumoured round display.

The ZenWatch 3 is set to come with a stainless steel build and the back features two small pins for charging with its dock.

Other specs include Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHZ) and a 5V 2 amp charger. The watch is expected to be unveiled during IFA 2016 in September.
