We've highlighted each entry of the Sorcery! series as they've arrived on Android, because each has been a compelling blend of a 'Choose Your Own Adventure" book with a tabletop RPG. Sorcery! 4: The Crown of Kings has arrived, and now it's time to see how your particular story is going to end.

Each Sorcery! release contains sketched artwork, stylish animations, a skeuomorphic interface, and oodles of charm. The games are based on the pen and paper game-books of the same name from Steve Jackson, and the inspiration is clear.

Firefox beta for Android has been updated to v50, so that would quality as both late and great, if you're a user of Firefox on your phone. It includes a new video playback component and (more importantly) simplified panels.

The changelog is pretty small for this one, with just two items.

  • Simplified panels by combining "Recent Tabs" into "History" panel
  • Support of HLS videos via player overlay

The change to the panels is actually more in-line with what Chrome desktop does.

There are improvements to both the chat interface and the underlying code that drives it. There are supposed to be changes to better support Android 7.0 Nougat, although it's unclear what they are, and the typical assortment of bug fixes and performance improvements.

(There are thousands of people reading us, let's not tell them about my love for Winnie The Pooh.) But our relationship doesn't feel equal; I barely have any information about you. Your new guy, this Assistant you've sent here to talk to me, I'd like to get to know him better.

Samsung Australia confirms recalled Note 7 will get update limiting charge to 60%

Posted: 21 Sep 2016 05:11 PM PDT

It was rumored that Samsung would update recalled Galaxy Note 7 units to limit their maximum charge to 60 percent, but at that time, Samsung said that this was not an official statement. However, it seems Samsung Australia has finally made it official.

Defective Note 7s purchased in Australia will be updated to cap their maximum charge at 60 percent of the full battery capacity, effectively limiting the battery to 2100mAh. While this is annoying, it might help keep those who are still using defective devices safe.

If you're still using a defective Note 7, there are already replacements available in Australia. Please don't continue using a device that might explode.
