Welcome to a slightly more niche version of the Android Police app and game roundup. Because I have the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro in my hands (note the plural there), we all thought it would be a good idea if we gave a list of the Tango apps and games for this shiny new device. Everything on this list will utilize the power of augmented reality and the sensors in the phone to offer some new experiences.

Save up to 25% on Nest and Google’s smart home products

Posted: 25 Nov 2016 02:28 PM PST

There are plenty of discounts on smartphones and tablets on Black Friday, but let's not forget that Google has a collection of smart home devices as well. The Nest Thermostat ($199.99, usually sells for $249.99) is typically the best place to start if you're looking to make your home a bit smarter. It may not be as flashy as LED lights which change color, but it will pay for itself in less than two years and will look 1,000 times better than that off-white thermostat you currently have on the wall. If you're looking for a home monitoring system, the Nest Indoor ($149.00, usually sells for $199.99) and Outdoor ($189.98, usually sells for $199.99) cameras are a good option as well.

Nest products can easily be controlled with your smartphone, but why mess with an app when it's a lot easier to tell Google Home what temperature you want your house set to. For today only, Google Home has been discounted from $129.99 to just $99.99 when purchased from the Nest or the Google Store.  Google's Nest system can also be integrated with the Philips Hue smart lighting system as well. Depending on what you need, there are a handful of Philips Hue starter kits and other bundles with various discounts on Amazon today.

The Axon 7 can be purchased in Quartz Gray and Ion Gold from Amazon, B&H, Best Buy, Newegg, and ZTEUSA.com. As always, you get free two-day shipping if you purchase the phone from Amazon, but B&H is throwing in a pair of JBL Synchros E40BT Bluetooth headphones (valued at $60), Newegg is including Monster ROC Sport Freedom Bluetooth headphones (valued at $200) and buying the phone directly from ZTE will get you a free case and USB Type-C charging cable.

Posted: 25 Nov 2016 12:38 AM PST

Black Friday deals have been floating around all week, but now that it's actually Black Friday, there are even more discounts to take advantage of.

The LG Stylo 2 is the latest smartphone to get a massive price cut. The phone is now selling for $69.99, down from $179.99.

Yes, the LG Stylo 2 is a low-end device to begin with, but it still comes with a 5.7-inch 720p display, 13MP main camera, 5MP selfie cam, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. And don't forget that all-important stylus. In other words, this is a great phone for your kids or parents who may not have a smartphone yet.

For more discounts on smartphones and accessories, check out Amazon's Black Friday deals.

Ever since Twitter integrated Periscope's streaming and viewing abilities into the Twitter mobile apps, there isn't much of a reason to have the separate app installed. Just in case you still use it, Twitter has released version 1.8.1 of the application with two new minor features - app shortcuts and new options while broadcasting.

Holding down on the app icon with Android 7.1 and a supported launcher reveals the new app shortcuts.
