Google Contacts 1.6 adds new Suggestions screen, updated icon, pull-to-refresh, and more [APK Download]

The Android application for Google Contacts has mostly been neglected over the years, but back in August, the 1.5 update introduced an updated interface and new abilities. Contacts 1.6 is now available from the Play Store and APKMirror, with a new icon and a few important changes.

The most noteworthy improvement in Contacts 1.5 was a new 'Duplicates' screen, accessible via the new hamburger menu.

If you're anything like me, you've been eagerly looking forward to the day we might finally have a way to jump short spans of time in the YouTube app. Don't get me wrong, the seek bar is great for videos if they're only a few minutes in length. However, it's not so effective if you're watching a 2-hour video and want to rewind 20 seconds to rewatch the last thing that happened.

Netflix and Google Photos integration for Google Home going live for some users

Google showed off Netflix integration with Google Home at the company's October 4 event. The feature would allow users to play Netflix content on Chromecasts, or Chromecast-compatible devices, with simple voice commands. Now the long-awaited feature appears to be going live for some users, along with Google Photos integration as well.

  

A new 'Videos and Photos' section can be found in the Google Home app's Assistant settings, which includes options for linking your Netflix account and enabling/disabling Photos integration. Our own Liam reported that linking his Netflix account did not work, indicating the feature is not quite ready for prime time.
